Dr. Simcock seems to have a busy office, but they are very organized and seem to keep things running pretty much on time. Arthroscopic surgery or arthroscopy is a surgical procedure to visualize, diagnose, and treat problems inside a joint using a specialized instrument known as an arthroscope. An arthroscope is a flexible fiberoptic tube that contains a small lens or camera and aa lighting system to magnify and illuminate structures inside a joint. The camera attached to the arthroscope shows an image of the joint on a television screen allowing the surgeon to examine the affected joint

Pediatric &Adolescent Injuries

Adolescent sports injuries are injuries that occur in children between 10 and19 years of age most commonly during sports and exercises. These injuries may result from accidents, poor training practices, use of improper protective gear, lack of conditioning, and insufficient warm-up and stretching. The sports injuries may be either acute (sprains, fractures, tears) or chronic (tendinitis, overuse injury) injuries. Common adolescent sports include football, soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, and hockey.
